I have taught as a Graduate Student Instructor in the English Department Writing Program of the University of Michigan, as well as an Instructor of English and Liberal Arts at Concordia University, Ann Arbor.
My teaching practice is constantly in progress, but always collaborative. Belonging to diverse communities of teachers and learners – both within academia and outside of it – consistently shapes and reshapes my approach to teaching.
In that spirit, my additional pedagogical training has prioritized community-based learning, and public humanities projects. I have participated in the University of Michigan’s Engaged Pedagogy Initiative, the Imagining America Consortium’s Publicly Active Graduate Education fellowship program, and the Mellon Public Humanities Fellowship program through UM’s Rackham Graduate School. Currently, I bring my teaching expertise to program development and community engagement in the public humanities sector. Below, you’ll find additional information and sample materials.
